In May of 2006 I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. My numbers were sometimes high, but mostly low. I went to see a dietician and a perinatologist, but they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. That’s when I decided to go see Toni. After just one bodytalk session, I was able to see the results-my blood-sugar numbers were absolutely perfect. I write this in late August of 2006, near my due date, and I haven’t had a single episode where my numbers were above or below normal.
Also, earlier in the pregnancy, January of 2006, the doctors found a uterine fibroid measuring approximately 3 centimeters in diameter. They expected it to grow in size because of the extra blood and hormones in this area. An ultrasound at week 20, April of 2006, showed the fibroid had doubled in size to approximately 6 centimeters in diameter. Toni also worked on the fibroid during our sessions and another ultrasound a few weeks later confirmed that the fibroid had gotten smaller; it was now back to 3 centimeters in diameter, something that surprised my doctors. At first the doctor and technician performing the ultrasound thought there were two fibroids (this smaller one they were looking at and a larger one they couldn’t see) but there wasn’t another fibroid. They were surprised that mine had reduced in size because they are used to seeing those fibroid get only bigger during pregnancy, never smaller.
Thank you Toni for all your help.
